Archive your slides on CD!
CD’s are perfect for those wanting to have their pictures available for printing, editing or emailing. On a CD, images are finalized as JPEGs.  

Watch image slideshows on a DVD!
View your slides on your TV!  The DVD will contain two different types of slideshows: a auto-playing slideshow and a user-controlled slideshow.

Auto-playing slideshow- The slides automatically switch from picture to picture.  Each slide is on screen for a certain amount of time before it automatically transitions to the next slide. 

User-controlled slideshow- You control which picture is viewed. Each slide will stay on screen until you decide to advance to the next one.  This is the best way to avoid having to use a slide projector to view your pictures.

The DVD does not contain the JPEGs of the images; so all customers who choose to have a DVD made will also receive a CD of the JPEGs.  All DVD’s have custom features available including:  menus, chapter markers, music, text and more!  And remember, we never use templates like some other companies do.  We will work with you to make sure your project is completely custom and unique.

Resolution & File type

Your slides will be scanned and edited as JPEGs at 2000 dpi.  All scans are high-resolution and perfect for making prints.  Higher resolution scans of up to 4000 dpi are available if you are seeking to make large prints (8x10 or larger) from your slides. 

If you want to edit your images with programs such as Photoshop, we can finalize your images as TIFFs to insure the highest image quality throughout your editing.  However, using TIFFs will increase the file size.

Organizing Your Slides

Before sending us your slides, organize them as much as possible.  Having your slides organized will streamline the entire digitizing process.   Please consider these 3 areas when organizing:

Unwanted images
Many of our clients save money by searching through their slides and eliminating those that aren’t worth archiving, such as slides without people in the picture or poorly taken photographs.

Chronological ordering
If the slides need to be in a certain order, please number the individual slides.  If you would like groups of slides to be kept in separate folders on the final CD, please separate and mark the box or container that those slides are in.
